Nashville-founded EVA expanding to its sixth city

The company helps clients deal with the messy details, paperwork, and uncertainty when trying to book entertainment.

Charlotte Inno reports that a Nashville start-up founded by two college classmates who shared a passion for live music entertainment is adding the Queen City as its sixth location.

As described on the company’s webpage, EVA Co-Founders Makenzie Stokel and Channing Moreland met as first-year students at Belmont College. “It wasn’t long before the two were organizing everything from large house parties to small festivals. The music and live event part was really fun. The messy details, paperwork, and uncertainty when trying to book entertainment, not so much.”

Their primary goal when they launched the company in 2015 was to use technology to connect clients with high-quality entertainment, and that’s still where their focus is. Charlotte will join Nashville, Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas and Austin as cities served by EVA.

The process that the company uses could best be described as 1-2-3. Step #1 is to create an event on the EVA site. Step #2 has EVA connecting the client with talent. The final step is doing all of the back office things like executing contracts.
