Five Tennessee start-ups headed to SXSW
Each of the five has received a $1,000 grant from Launch Tennessee to help with expenses to attend the annual Texas conference.
Launch Tennessee has announced the five start-ups that have received $1,000 each to help defray their costs in attending the SXSW (South by Southwest) annual conference in Austin, TX.
The event, scheduled for March 10-19, celebrates the convergence of tech, film, music, education, and culture. The five Tennessee-based winners are:
- Couture Technologies, a Nashville-based start-up that empowers apparel brands to seamlessly integrate “Virtual Try-On” technology to reduce returns, increase conversions, and improve sustainability by assisting their customers in getting the right fit, the first time, online;
- Hera Health Solutions, a Memphis-located biotechnology company enabling pharmaceutical companies to rapidly increase the efficacy of existing therapeutics through its nanotechnology-enabled drug delivery platform;
- Primeaux, the Knoxville-based start-up that makes handcrafted cutlery and won the judges’ prize in the 2022 edition of “Startup Day” in Knoxville;
- rpl University, the Kingsport-based recruitment platform; and
- Sonora Labs, another Nashville start-up that builds and backs deeptech companies from their earliest stages.
