JPMorgan launching a new platform named Capital Connect
JPMorgan Chase & Co is launching a platform that is focused on connecting start-up founders with venture capital investors to simplify the fundraising process, according to this report from Reuters.
The new platform is named Capital Connect and is designed to serve the financing needs of start-ups from their early stages, marking the ambition of the biggest U.S. bank by assets to further expand into the private market and build a founder-friendly brand in Silicon Valley.
The Reuters article says Capital Connect will allow start-up founders to ask for introductions to investors, build virtual data rooms, and potentially trade their company shares on a secondary market. They can also use the website to fundraise as early in the process as the Series A round.
