RadLab, latest app from SkillsGapp, focused on life science sector
GSA Business Report that covers Upstate South Carolina recently published this article about SkillsGapp, a Greenville, SC-based developer of gamified career-exploration apps. The company is working with middle schools in Greenville and Hartsville, SC to pilot its new RadLab app, which introduces students to life sciences careers through virtual challenges such as testing and receiving U.S. Food and Drug Administration approval for new medicines, overseeing the high-tech manufacturing process to make them and administering the new drugs to patients.
As students play, the app will tell them about future job opportunities with employers in the area, and it allows them to build up a “resume” in the game as well as including competitions for rewards and the chance to watch a surgery in person or win a free semester of tuition at a technical college.
