Stories of Technology, Innovation, & Entrepreneurship in the Southeast

In a little less than a month, the 10 start-ups participating in the inaugural “Techstars Industries of the Future Accelerator” will pitch their companies at a “Demo Day.” The event will begin at 5 p.m. EDT May 26 in the Student Union on the University of Tennessee’s (UT) Knoxville campus, and the public is invited.

The agenda for the event is as follows:

• 5 p.m. – Doors open.
• 5:30 p.m. – Live Ceremony and introductions.
• 5:45 p.m. – “Industries of the Future Panel” featuring the top executives of the sponsors – Jeff Lyash (Chief Executive Officer of TVA), Randy Boyd (President UT), and Thomas Zacharia (Director of Oak Ridge National Laboratory). The discussion will be moderated by Tricia Martinez, Managing Director of Techstars Knoxville.
• 6:30 p.m. – Pitches from the 10 start-ups.
• 7:30 p.m. – Expo area on Second Floor for networking with food and drinks.
• 9:30 p.m. – Doors close.
