What cities offer the highest salary and total compensation in the U.S. for data scientists? Here’s a clue: there is at least one surprise, but no Tennessee city made the list that The Tech Tribune published through a partnership with Blind, the web’s most trusted source of pay data from verified professionals.
- Los Gatos, CA, a Bay Area community, topped the list with an average salary of $447,916 and total compensation of $455,166.
- The highest ranked city in the Southeast or Atlantic Coast is Charlotte at #5 with average salaries of $145,885 and total compensation of $201,685.
- Ranked #8 is Bentonville, AR with an average salary of $122,285 and total compensation averaging $179,809.
- Columbus, OH came in at #13 with an average salary of $115,781 and total compensation averaging $160,843, and Atlanta was ranked #17 with an average salary of $118,977 and total compensation averaging $145,650.
