Careit becomes first participant in CO.LAB’s revamped “GIGTANK 365” program
Careit, a food donation technology that makes it easy for businesses and institutions to donate surplus food and goods directly to local nonprofits, is the first start-up accepted into CO.LAB‘s revamped “GIGTANK 365” program.
The revamped initiative is now a stage-gate program that targets tech-enabled start-ups and is focused on founder needs that also leverage CO.LAB’s mentor network. Rather than getting lost in a 10- or 12-week curriculum, founders only advance to the next stage of the program when they are ready.
“We created GIGTANK 365 with founders in mind,” said Christine DiPietro, CO.LAB’s Director of Programs. “This program allows entrepreneurs to focus on the company’s most timely needs while being accountable to a network of mentors. The goal is for every GIGTANK 365 company to graduate ready for investment.”
Careit was founded by Alyson Schill who divides her time between Chattanooga and Los Angeles.
