Seven start-ups from “Innovation Crossroads” are latest graduates of “Energy Mentor Network”

Seven Tennessee energy start-ups, all from Cohort 3 of the “Innovation Crossroads” program operated by Oak Ridge National Laboratory, have graduated from the “Energy Mentor Network,” a rigorous mentorship program that cultivates energy entrepreneurship across the state.

Run by the Tennessee Advanced Energy Business Council (TAEBC) in partnership with Launch Tennessee, the program equips promising young companies with the tools and connections to raise capital and scale their businesses to market success.

“The ‘Energy Mentor Network’ is set up to create more quality start-ups in Tennessee,” said Cortney Piper, TAEBC Executive Director. “Companies that go through the program work with an Entrepreneur-In-Residence, a marketing mentor and a finance mentor. They are given tools to create a solid business plan and funding opportunities once they graduate.”
