South Carolina-based start-up wins “DIG SOUTH Wild Pitch” competition
SealCath, a South Carolina-based medical device company that is commercializing technology licensed from the Medical University of South Carolina, took first place at this year’s “DIG SOUTH Wild Pitch” event.
The company, founded by Cephus Simmons, with 20 other start-ups. It is commercializing a patented double balloon catheter known as the Cephus Catheter that can improve the process for a variety of gastrointestinal procedures. The innovative technology allows for greater effectiveness and efficiency in medical procedures.
