NE TN organizations commit to making region “Nation’s Epicenter for Rural Entrepreneurship”
Three Northeast Tennessee organizations made a major declaration yesterday for a region frequently referred to as the Appalachian Highlands.
The Sync Space Entrepreneur Center, East Tennessee State University’s Research Corporation, and TSG Innovation Group have announced a campaign called “Aim High in the Appalachian Highlands” that is focused on branding Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia as the “Nation’s Epicenter for Rural Entrepreneurship.”
“Our region is experiencing an influx of local startups and growing companies looking to establish their headquarters,” said Heath Guinn, President of Sync Space. “We’re seeing an incredible increase of emerging companies seeking relocation and expansion from major metros. The Appalachian Highlands represents the exact combination of resources, expertise and quality of life that these companies desire as they continue their exponential growth.”
To accompany the Aim High campaign, Sync Space, which is the Northeast Tennessee network partner of Launch Tennessee, has announced that its “Rural Startup Accelerator” program is now accepting applications. The accelerator will select teams ready for growth and will identify opportunities for their success within the Appalachian Highlands while connecting the teams to Sync Space’s network of partners throughout the region.
The accelerator begins August 15 and is a milestone-based program where participants will achieve substantial goals for their company with the help of a world-class team of advisors, mentors, and investors.
Guinn describes the accelerator in a video at this link that also includes an additional link to the application.
