Atlanta-based Collab Capital raises $50 million to support Black founders
Collab Capital, an Atlanta early stage investment firm, has raised its first fund for start-ups led by Black founders. Launched 18 months ago, the firm announced that it has raised $50 million for its inaugural fund that includes investments from Apple, Goldman Sachs, Google, PayPal and Mailchimp.
Google for Startups Head Jewel Burks Solomon, Atlanta Techstars Social Impact Accelerator Director Barry Givens and Goodie Nation Co-Founder Justin Dawkins founded the firm to give the next generations of Black startups more access to capital than they had while growing their companies.
