VCU’s da Vinci Center opening retail facility for students to test ideas
To help aspiring innovators remove some of the barriers to retail entrepreneurship, the da Vinci Center for Innovation at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) is launching “Shift Retail Lab.”
Described as a first of its kind facility in the country, the new concept will occupy a 2,700 square foot space on Broad Street in Richmond, VA. The “Shift Retail Lab” will be free space where VCU students can test out their retail approach, without the burden of up-front costs, gives more potential business owners the step up they need to launch something new.
