Breaking Guinness World Record just part of what a “rugged entrepreneur” does
“Rugged entrepreneurs” do, well, rugged and disruptive things as Scott Andrew describes in his new book titled The Rugged Entrepreneur.
As we have shown in the three-part series that concluded with today’s feature article in teknovation.biz, he practices what he preaches as evidenced by an event earlier this year – January 5, to be exact – when about 550 people showed-up at TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville to see a world record established.
The occasion was the annual conference for BoxDrop Mattress & Furniture, Andrew’s rapidly growing franchise. To inspire his franchisees and further show the rugged entrepreneurial spirit, the company rented the home of the Jacksonville Jaguar NFL team to establish a new Guinness World Record for the tallest stack of mattresses. It is now 24 feet 4 inches.
“This type of community creativity is a part of the disruption wherein RSS (Retail Service Systems ) creates a powerful relationship between the rugged entrepreneurs the company empowers and our coaches and customer service teams,” Andrew says. “We did the event in conjunction with launching a new product line called Sleep 2 Win.”.
Here’s a video he shared from the event.
