State, community fund new advanced manufacturing facility in Danville, VA
With $25.5 million in funding from the Commonwealth of Virginia and the Danville Regional Foundation, ground was broken before the end of 2020 on the new 51,250-square foot Center for Manufacturing Advancement (CMA).
According to this article, the CMA will be built on the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research campus in Danville, next to the recently-completed Kyocera SGS Tech Hub. It is another piece of the economic development strategy to attract more advanced manufacturing companies and jobs to Southwestern Virginia.
