National organization announces fund to spur innovation leadership at community colleges
A new fund will select six of the most forward-leaning community colleges and systems in the country to lead a demonstration of how two-year institutions can leverage innovation capacity, regional partnerships, and dynamic labor market data to identify and build sub-degree “micro-pathways” with designated credentials that employers validate.
According to this webpage, the “Community College Growth Engine Fund” is being launched to meet the urgent demand from community college leadership for support to deliver skills-focused, market-driven education as regions struggle to mitigate the growing skills gap.
