For those whose New Year’s wish was for recurring funding for the State of Tennessee’s SBIR and STTR matching program administered by Launch Tennessee, you’re halfway there. Governor Bill Lee’s 2020-21 budget recommendation converts this year’s non-recurring appropriation of $3 million for those who receive federal Small Business Innovation and Small Business Technology Transfer grants to the recurring column. Now, the General Assembly will need to adopt the recommendation when it approves the budget in April.
