PYA names two seasoned individuals to top positions in tax, accounting service lines
PYA, the power behind teknovation.biz, has named two seasoned individuals to top leadership positions in the area with most interactions among readers of teknovation.biz.
- Kelvin Ault has joined the firm as Managing Principal of Tax Services effective October 21. Based out of PYA’s Nashville office, Ault will also serve as National Practice Leader for Healthcare Tax Advisory Services.
- Heather Martin, who joined PYA in 2000, has been promoted to Managing Principal of Tax Compliance and Accounting Services. She is based in Knoxville.
Ault is a national healthcare executive specializing in accounting and tax. For nearly three decades, he has helped clients in federal and state tax planning, mergers and acquisitions, and joint ventures. A recognized industry leader in the for-profit healthcare sector, he has increased market share, recruited and developed staff, and led various initiatives and programs for healthcare organizations.

Martin is familiar to many start-ups in the Knoxville area, particularly through her work with the “Innovation Crossroads” cohorts. She assists businesses like them and individuals with their tax and financial needs, providing meaningful financial information to help them make strategic decisions. With experience in transactional tax planning and due diligence, Martin has worked with multiple entity-types, including LLCs, S Corporations, and sole proprietors.
