Tyson Foods invests heavily in innovation
No doubt you’ve heard of Tyson Foods and, for sure, you’ve probably eaten chicken from the company.
How important is innovation to the 85-year old company? It just opened a two-story, 26,000 square-foot Manufacturing Automation Center facility that has four research areas including a machine vision technology lab and another that simulates a food production environment for testing before the machine goes to a plant. There are also classrooms for training equipped with teleconferencing equipment and additional space for employees to get hands-on training in automation and robotics technology.
It’s part of a $215 million investment the Arkansas-based company has made in automation and robotics in the past five years. Learn more here.
