Lia Winter and team selected for UGA’s “Next Top Entrepreneur” pitch competition
It’s another pitch opportunity for Lia Winter and her team from Winter Innovations.
After capturing two recent competitions – $15,000 in the annual “Brown-Forman Cardinal Challenge” hosted by the University of Louisville and $21,500 in the annual “Stu Clark Investment Competition” at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, the developer of EasyWhipTM surgical device has been selected as a finalist in an event week after next.
It’s the annual “Next Top Entrepreneur” competition hosted by the University of Georgia (UGA). The event is set for 5 to 8:30 p.m. April 18 in the NEW Studio 225 Incubator Space that is the home of the UGA Entrepreneurship Program. The event with a cash prize of $10,000 to the winner is open to student start-up teams from all over the country. The competition is being held during “Techstars Startup Week Athens” that begins April 11.
