TN-SCORE accepting RSA awards applications
The Tennessee Solar Conversion and Storage using Outreach, Research, and Education (TN-SCORE) initiative has announced that it is accepting applications for two types of “Research Stimulation Awards” (RSA) with a “rolling review process” to begin July 15.
The RSA grants are intended to support the development of junior investigators so they can obtain other major funding while also encouraging universities and industry to work cooperatively on renewable energy research.
Stage 1 awards cover two- to six-month projects with anticipated outcomes to provide direction for future research. Funding will range between $5,000 and $15,000 per project.
Stage 2 awards cover a six- to 12-month period and should be more mature with some existing data and infrastructure in place. Funding is between $15,000 and $50,000 per project, and it is expected that the TN-SCORE funding will result in the creation of data sufficient for inclusion in a fundable proposal. In addition, Stage 2 applicants are strongly encouraged to include industry partners.
More information about the RSA grants can be found on the TN-SCORE web page at http://www.tnepscor.org/programs/research_stimulation_awards.aspx.
