RSCC one of five community colleges pilot testing a new Verizon initiative
Verizon Innovative Learning and Roane State Community College (RSCC) have announced a partnership to bring hands-on workshops in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) to the Crossville campus.
Fifty middle school girls from the Upper Cumberland region will be selected for the program, one of five pilots that are being run in rural areas across the country in partnership with the National Association for Community College Entrepreneurship (NACCE).
The program will expose the students to the fundamentals of augmented reality, coding, 3D design, entrepreneurship and design thinking principles. It will begin July 10 and end July 28. Read the RSCC announcement for more details (VIL for Girls).
