Six East Tennessee start-ups among 36 selected for “Village 36”
The line-up for “Village 36” during June’s “36|86 Conference” in Nashville has been finalized. Twenty-four companies, including four from East Tennessee, will join 12 previously selected during a three-city “Southern Series” competition held by Launch Tennessee.
The East Tennessee additions are Audiohand and Avrio Analytics, both from Knoxville; Branch Technology from Chattanooga; and BrewFund from Johnson City. Branch, which was one of the participant’s in Launch Tennessee’s “The TENN” master accelerator this year, won last week’s finale.
These four join two other East Tennessee start-ups – Rapid RMS (Chattanooga) and Vendor Registry (Knoxville) – that won an automatic bid by placing in the top four in one of the regional competitions held in Atlanta, Birmingham and Raleigh. That gives the East Tennessee region six of the 36 featured start-ups.
The conference is set for June 6 and 7 in Nashville. For more information, click here. You can also read Launch Tennessee’s announcement (36-86 Village).
