Three share latest “Boyd Venture Challenge” funding
Three student start-up companies at the University of Tennessee have been awarded a total of $30,000 in the spring 2015 “Boyd Venture Challenge.” Named for the well-known Knoxville entrepreneur who is now the state’s Commissioner of Economic and Community Development, the award helps the student entrepreneurs further advance their concepts.
This round of winners includes one repeat “Boyd Venture Challenge” winner (Bryan Crosby of FunLPro Technology who received $15,000), the winner of last week’s “Spring Vol Court” (Brandi King of Rentique who won $10,000), and a previous “Vol Court” winner (Jake Rheude whose latest start-up is GuruSkins).
