Nanomechanics announces “NANO:30” celebration

Oak Ridge-based Nanomechanics, Inc. has announced a year-long celebration called “NANO:30” to mark the company’s 30th anniversary as well as the progress of nanomechanical instrumentation.

Warren Oliver and John Pethica founded Nano Instruments, Inc. in 1983 to develop and market the Nano Indenter, a novel instrument designed to measure  the mechanical properties of materials with sub-nanometer displacement resolution and nano-Newton force resolution.

The company has gone through several iterations that have been documented in a series of stories on teknovation.biz.

Here’s Nanomechanics’ news release about the celebration (NANO_30).
